Satellite images taken nine years apart (2012 and 2021) show the land cover changes in the area of Ifo2 refugee camp in Kenya.
Ifo2 refugee camp was established in 2011 (as a part of Dadaab complex) with population over 50 000 refugees. It has been closed with the reduction of the numbers in Dadaab as a result of the voluntary return programme, and the camp was officially handed over to the Government on 21st June 2019.
Dataset: multispectral pansharpened images, 0.5m spatial resolution, false colour composition (NIR, R, G), where red color indicates healthy vegetation.
